Re-roof with solar
built in.
We carry the rest.
You do the roofing: the strip, the membrane and battens, the slate or tile and the in-roof solar laid in with it. Fort Energy designs and prices the solar, supplies the in-roof kit, sends our electricians to connect it, and MCS-certifies the installation. You earn on the roof plus a share of the solar sale - without the electrical work, the solar hardware bills or the MCS surveillance.
Your customer.
Our standard.
One of your re-roof customers would benefit from solar - register them with us so the lead is yours. And as Fort Roofing grows, we pass re-roof enquiries in your area to you.
From the roof survey we design the solar, model the savings and put one proposal together for the roof and the solar, ready for the customer.
When it's signed, the roofing is offered to you first. You strip and rebuild the roof and lay in the in-roof solar we supply; our electricians do the electrical work.
We commission the system, check the work and issue the MCS certificate and handover pack. You're paid for the roofing plus your share of the solar sale.

Sell more than a roof,
without the overheads
Your customers are already asking about solar when their roof comes off. Offering it yourself would mean electricians, certification, solar design and stock. As a partner, you skip all of that and keep doing what you do best.
An introduction day,
then decide
Once you've applied and we've had a chat, we'll invite you to an introduction day in Morpeth with a few other roofers. There's no commitment until you've seen how we work.
Q&A and formalities
How the scheme works, how we design and price, what we provide on site, how you're paid, and how certification works. Ask us anything. Then the paperwork: the partner agreement and a check of your qualifications and insurance.
See our work
We'll visit some of the roofs we've rebuilt with in-roof solar - slate and tile, period houses and modern ones - so you can see first-hand the detailing and finish we hold ourselves to, and expect from our partners.
Roofing firms
across North East England
Roofers and small roofing firms across North East England, beyond our own patch around Morpeth, who do complete re-roofs and take pride in the detail. In-roof solar experience is welcome but not essential: we'll take you through the systems we use and our installation standard.
Things roofers
usually ask
Do I need in-roof solar experience?
No. If you do good complete re-roofs, we'll take you through the in-roof systems we use, how they flash into slate and tile, and our installation standard. Experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
Do I need any electrical qualifications?
No. Our electricians do all of the electrical work - the cabling, inverter, battery, testing and commissioning. You do the roof.
Do I need to be MCS certified?
No - the installation is certified under Fort Energy's MCS certification, so you don't carry the cost of certification, assessments or surveillance visits.
Where does the work come from?
Both ways. Your own re-roof customers who would benefit from solar - you register them with us so they're yours - and Fort Roofing enquiries in your area, which we pass to our roofing partners there.
How am I paid?
Your roofing work is paid at agreed rates, plus a percentage of the solar sale on the jobs you bring in. We'll go through the figures, and when you're paid, at the introduction day.
Who signs the contract with the customer, and who gives the guarantees?
We'll go through exactly how the customer contract, the roof and solar guarantees and the certification work at the introduction day - it's one of the first things we cover.
