Install solar under
your own name.
We carry the rest.
Your customer, your business name, your electrical work. Fort Energy designs and prices the system, supplies the kit, sends the roofing and scaffold teams, helps you commission, and MCS-certifies the installation. You earn a fixed price for the electrical work on every job, plus a share of the sale - without the hardware bills, the accounts or the MCS surveillance.
Your customer.
Our standard.
Your customer wants solar or a battery. You register the lead with us, so it's yours, and arrange a survey.
From your survey we design the system and put the proposal together to the Fort standard and Fort pricing, ready for your customer.
When it's signed, the installation is offered to you first. We supply the kit, the roofing team and the scaffold; you do the electrical work.
We help you commission, check the work and issue the MCS certificate and handover pack. You're paid the fixed price for your electrical work plus your share of the sale.

Profitable solar work,
without the overheads
Setting up as a solar installer on your own means certification, assessments, trade accounts and a lot of money tied up in stock. As a partner, you skip all of that and get straight to the work.
An introduction day,
then decide
Once you've applied and we've had a chat, we'll invite you to an introduction day in Morpeth with a few other electricians. There's no commitment until you've seen how we work.
Q&A and formalities
How the scheme works, how we design and price, what we provide on site, how you're paid, and how certification works. Ask us anything. Then the paperwork: the partner agreement and a check of your qualifications and insurance.
See our work
We'll visit some of the systems we've installed - in-roof solar, battery installs, and larger arrays - so you can see first-hand the standard of work we hold ourselves to, and expect from our partners.
Qualified electricians
across North East England
Sole traders and small firms across North East England, beyond our own patch around Morpeth, who already have customers asking about solar and batteries - or want them to. Renewables experience is welcome but not essential: we'll take you through our installation standard.
Things electricians
usually ask
Do I need solar experience?
No. If you're a qualified, capable electrician we'll take you through our installation standard, and we're on hand for commissioning. Solar or battery qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Do I need to be MCS certified?
No - that's the point of the scheme. The installation is certified under Fort Energy's MCS certification, so you don't carry the cost of certification, assessments or surveillance visits.
Do I have to buy the kit?
No. Fort Energy supplies all the hardware for every job, so you never have stock or supplier accounts to fund.
How am I paid?
A fixed price for the electrical work on each job, agreed before you start - so you know exactly what you'll earn, however long it takes - plus a percentage of the total sale price. We'll go through the figures, and when you're paid, at the introduction day.
What if I bring a customer but can't do the install?
You get first refusal on the installations you bring in. If you can't take one on, we'll talk it through with you before anything is arranged.
Who signs the contract with the customer, and who gives the guarantee?
We'll go through exactly how the customer contract, the guarantees and the certification work at the introduction day - it's one of the first things we cover.
