The opportunity
Fort Energy is expanding its installation team and is looking for an electrician or improver to join our site work across Northumberland and Tyneside. You'll work alongside our Senior Electrician and our network of electrical and roofing contractors on solar PV, battery storage and related projects.
The role
- Assisting with the installation of solar PV systems, inverters and battery storage
- AC and DC cabling, containment and general electrical installation work
- Supporting off-grid systems, standby generators and EV charger installations
- Working with contractors on site to keep jobs moving to programme and to standard
- Supporting testing, commissioning and the paperwork needed for MCS compliance
What you'll need
Qualified electricians
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
Improvers
- Working towards NVQ Level 3, with solid site experience
Everyone
- Full UK driving licence and your own tools
- Comfortable working at height on domestic and commercial sites
- Reliable, careful and keen to develop in renewables

- £30,000–£34,000 for improvers, £35,000–£38,000 for qualified electricians
